Relationally Connected For Global Impact
sitting down with the chairman, phillip miles
We’re sitting down with the leaders of Evangel Fellowship International, and what better place to start than with the Chairman of the board, Phillip Miles. In this conversation, we dive into the humble beginnings of EFI and the thought behind this year’s theme for LEVERAGE2024, Building Bridges. For more conversations, check out our youtube page, here.
WHAT’S COMING UP?
We are heading to the mountains for our annual Leverage Conference this year. We will be meeting and staying at Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain, NC. The theme for the conference is Building Bridges and the faculty will be bringing their experience and insight into how to build the bridges we are all called to build. You don't want to miss this opportunity.
We offering a new event this, a kick-off reception that will begin at 3:30 on Monday, 10/21 in the lobby of Mountain Laurel. There will be light refreshments but heavy conversations. So you can come check-in and enjoy the first of many fellowship times at this conference.
We've secured a block of 60 rooms for our upcoming gathering in Ridgecrest. However, they're going fast – nearly half are already booked. To ensure you have a spot, please make your reservations soon. Right now there are still more rooms available, but the mountains are a very popular time of the year for people to go to the mountains, so rooms may become scarce as we get closer to our time together.
IMPORTANT: We are hoping to offer childcare this year if we can get the volunteers needed. So if you are willing to take a session during the conference to help, please email Debbie at: admin@efiglobal.org to let her know you're coming and willing to help by July 15th.
We want to make sure your experience at the EFI Conference goes smoothly! Remember, while registering with EFI is a great first step, it's essential to also reserve your accommodations separately with Ridgecrest. Simply give them a call at 800-588-7222, and let them know you're attending the EFI Conference. They'll take care of the rest!

HONDURAS TRIP WITH DEBBIE SAWYER
Celebrating Debbie and her remarkable leadership on a June mission trip to Honduras! Under her guidance, a team of 16 from Fall Line Church had the privilege of partnering with House of Hope in San Pedro Sula. This impactful ministry, led by the inspiring April Haveland, focuses on empowering women to escape the sex trade and human trafficking through valuable skills and career opportunities.
Debbie's leadership shone as they engaged in various activities—from teaching vocational skills like cooking and jewelry-making to painting and renovating the facility. They also supported the ministry with sewing materials, built acoustic panels, and led Bible studies and kids’ ministry activities. Their involvement in the community’s evangelistic outreach was profoundly moving.
This experience was truly transformative, and we are deeply thankful for Debbie’s dedication and commitment to being relationally connected for global impact. Her leadership not only demonstrated Christ’s love but also enriched others’ lives in ways they will cherish forever.
BILL KNIGHT’S TRIP TO NICARAGUA
We’re celebrating @imagechurchnc as they return from Nicaragua! 14 team members went down to minister to over 550 kids in 3 different churches, with construction projects on 2 churches as well.
We are grateful for Pastor Bill Knight and the amazing team that would tell you that God did more in their hearts than the ones they were able to serve.
🎉 A Joyful Report from Ghana! 🎉
We are thrilled to share a heartfelt message from Elsie in Ghana, where your generous donations have made a significant impact! 🙏
"Dear Rev. Dale,
I'm pleased to report that the donations to the schools went very well. Bueman Senior High and Akpafu Senior High schools each received 2 sewing machines. They were so elated because the school didn't even have a single one, yet they have students studying clothing and textiles. Often, they had to appeal to staff or people in the township to loan their machines for practical work. They are incredibly grateful to EFI for the donations."
📸 Presenting to the Headmaster and assistants at Bueman Senior High School, Jasikan.
📸 With Staff and students of Akpafu Secondary Technical School, Oti Region, Ghana.
These sewing machines are already changing lives, but there is so much more we can do! We are inviting you to help us purchase more sewing machines for these schools, empowering more students to learn valuable skills that can transform their futures.

OLGA’S JOURNEY TO A BETTER LIFE IN CHRIST, BOLIVIA
Imagine living in constant fear for your safety. This is the reality for young girls trapped in familial trafficking in Bolivia. In a village near Cochabamba, many girls as young as six are sold by their own families or forced into prostitution due to extreme poverty.
House of Hope offers these girls a safe haven and essential care, but it’s currently at full capacity. A generous donor has pledged a $50,000 matching gift, so your contribution will be doubled. A gift of $500 could help expand the home, transforming fear into safety for these young girls.
Consider Olga, who moved to House of Hope in February at 18. After enduring years of hunger and exploitation, she sought change through beauty school, where she met Sandra from House of Hope. Thanks to your support, Olga found safety and hope. Your donation can help many more girls like her.
Refugees Work in Europe: A Voice for the Nations
Ali returned home from his work in a distant country to a devastating reality: his house, wife, and children had been destroyed by opposition forces because of their Christian faith. In one horrifying moment, Ali lost his entire family, home, property, and even his country. With his life threatened, he was forced to flee, leaving everything behind.
For months, Ali was on the run, holding tightly to his faith in Christ, though he was traumatized and in shock. He traveled through several countries, seeking refuge from his pain, until he finally arrived in a safe place in Europe. It was there that we met him.
Every Thursday evening, refugees from various nations gather to receive meals from different organizations. This is where our "At Home" church in Europe connects with them, offering meals, clothing, and the Word of God. This is where we met Ali.
Other believers in our community reached out to Ali, inviting him to church. There, we encouraged him, prayed for him, and supported him in practical, spiritual, and emotional ways. Ali has found a family in us, and it is nothing short of a miracle that he was able to escape the dangers he faced. The Lord has protected, counseled, and provided for him, and now our church is standing by him.
Please pray for Ali to remain strong in his faith and for provision in every area of his life.
