Welcome Dinner, Worship with EFI worship team,
Speaker: Dr. Osmani Sosa Romero
Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, Osmani showed promise as a high-level baseball player from his youth. This led to him being trained in the Soviet system of sports development helping him arrive to the upper levels of Cuban sports as a successful pitcher. After his mother was miraculously healed of a nearly fatal disease, he gave his heart to Jesus and has never turned back. He left his baseball career during the best years of his athletic ability and dedicated his life to winning “Cuba for Christ”.
His evangelistic and apostolic ministry, “Honrando al Padre” has grown to work amongst 20+ denominations and more than 550 churches, leading and training multitudes in sports evangelism, leadership development, and church planting. Nearly 190,000 have given their hearts to Jesus through this ministry in the past 17 years. Osmani currently pastors a growing church that meets in his home with between 150-200 in attendance every week. He has been happily married to Geidi for 19 years and has 2 beautiful daughters named Daniela and Jennifer
